The Gigantic Turnip Book Cover

The challenge was for me to make a cover that could read well as a small thumbnail, and also make the most of a graphic shape based wood cut style. I also really wanted to show the characters as a sort of team on a busy farm in a kind of folk art style. After 3 different days of thinking and sketching and designing, I settled on a bit of a combination. It could use a bit more twiddling, but I submitted it by the deadline, so I am glad to take a breath. Below are some of my design ideas:
