BookPage lists SAFE CROSSING one of the best picture books of the year.
Some lovely news: Safe Crossing has been chosen by BookPage for their list of Best Books (Picture Book Category) of 2025!
According to BookPage, “These standout picture books from 2025 range from laugh-out-loud funny to breathtakingly beautiful, with a few things in common: sublime, unique illustrations paired with memorable prose.”
Back in January, BookPage wrote Safe Crossing a starred review and named the new release one of the Top 10 books for the month, noting: “Author-illustrator Kari Percival’s Safe Crossing is an exciting, informative call to action for budding scientists and environmental activists.”
Their Best Books of 2025 lists by genre were announced November 18 on BookPage.com, across social channels and will be featured prominently in the December “Best of the Best” issue, “reaching 400,000 readers through more than 3,500 subscribing public library and bookstore locations.”
