I love Boston Area Gleaners’ mission to rescue fresh local food crops that would be plowed under and bring it to local food pantries for distribution. I’d love to help, and I haven’t yet found time to go gleaning. So when I found out about this fundraiser they were hosting, I asked if they needed a poster. Here is the invitation I designed for the event.
Boston Area Gleaners is looking for auction items to help fund their work. The gleaned food and volunteer help is free, but trucking it around to food pantries is not. Do you make or do something fabulous that you could donate to the auction to help fight hunger in the Boston Area? Auction items could be original art, a hand-sewn quilt or pet portrait, gift certificates for restaurant, museum passes, a weekend get-a-way at your summer cottage, or services such as yoga lessons, catering, or garden consultation. Message me with your ideas. And thanks!
